You can also open the bleeder screw -- to let any air out. It is a black PLASTIC screw next to the primer pump. Be caredul tightening it back up --it can break.

P0090. Circuit/System Description. High pressure fuel is regulated by the fuel rail pressure (FRP) regulator mounted on the fuel injection pump. The FRP regulator is controlled by the engine control module (ECM). The FRP regulator has a solenoid supply voltage circuit and solenoid control circuit.
P0090 is an OBD-II code telling us there is a fault found within the fuel pressure regulator control circuit. This DTC is triggered when the ECM finds out-of-range performance from the control circuit. Out of range performance causes a Check Engine Light and a failsafe mode. Cranks, no start. I isolated it to the wiring harness, and sure enough there was a spot where a metal bracket had worn through the wiring harness.
Feb 8, 2014 · Hey everyone, Got an 03 LB7 Duramax, and just replaced the injectors. It won't start, and it's throwing P0088 and P0193. Now, I installed a Nicktane Cat filter and I can hear bubbling. The engine control module (ECM) supplies power and ground to the fuel rail pressure (FRP) regulator. The ECM monitors current on the circuits to detect a failure. If the current is outside of the expected range, DTC P0090 will set. The ignition is ON.
